Guildford Lions is all about a group of local people volunteering and working together to help the community

Christmas actually provides one of our biggest challenges

There are many people who certainly don't find any Christmas Cheer over the Christmas period and we want to help them find some Cheer this year!

Whilst Guildford Lions has very strong links to Social Services and similar groups and help many people throughout the year we recognise we cant do it all by ourselves

To reach as many needy people as possible we are delighted to be working with the following organisations 

1 The Mayor of Guildfords Distress Fund which invites borough residents to apply for assistance - this will, in fact, be our third year working with the Mayor

2 The Guildford Food Banks who provide temporary help for individuals and families in the Guildford area who are in need to ensure nobody goes hungry

Together the 3 of us will make a difference but only with your help

Donating couldn't be easier

In addition to this Just Giving site Guildford Lions will also be undertaking all day Supermarket collections at Tesco (Guildford), Sainsburys (Burpham) and Waitrose (Guildford) plus a collection in Guildford High Street on Dec 17th

All profits (with no deduction for administration etc) will be distributed between the 3 groups.

Food parcels will be distributed by Guildford Lions members shortly before Christmas to a large number of deserving people old and young in the Town
