Dear friends
As you may know, in May/June 2010 I will be volunteering with CINI which helps poor
mothers and children in India. In particular, I will be working at the
charity's Emergency Ward and Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre - helping
children afflicted with malnutrition and related
conditions. Malnutrition is a serious problem in India, killing
6000 children everyday (more than 4 per minute!).
I will be keeping a blog, which
you can read at http://caroline-cini.blogspot.com/ Hopefully,
this will give you a better sense of how your support is enabling CINI
to do vital work such as helping the poorest of families find
sustainable ways to break free of the
inter-generational cycle of poverty, malnutrition and ill health.
I would like to thank unreservedly those who generously donated in response to my sponsored fast appeal in December. After giftaid and matching of funds, you raised £1410 for CINI, money which will be very much appreciated by the recipients in India.
A
pound goes a very long way in rupees so, whatever you are able to
donate, your support will help CINI to help mothers and children break
free of the inter-generational cycle of poverty.
Donating through JustGiving is simple and secure. Once you
donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to CINI. If you are a
UK taxpayer, JustGiving will also ensure Gift Aid is reclaimed on your
donation.
Thanks so much for your support
PS: I will be covering all my own costs - so ALL the money raised through this page will go to the charity.
