As you know, I have run a few marathons. However, next April I am running the London Marathon and raising money for a youth homelessness charity called Alone in .
This little charity is quite amazing. It’s been going since 1972 and what makes it different is that, as well as providing support to so many young people in crisis each year, it also has a prevention programme that it runs in secondary schools – explaining to the pupils the dangers of running away and where they can get help if they are struggling to cope with situations at home or wherever.
So, between telephone advice, one-to-one help at its drop-in centre in Hackney, and its schools work, over 2,300 young people benefit from its work each year.
I would like to raise well over the £1,250 I have been asked to raise for its work. Will you help me please?
