My story

On the 17th April little Caroline Moorhouse is running the London marathon. I've wanted to do it for a while, mostly because I'm really competitive and have issues with winning. But also because I was touched by the thousands of people I watched last year, running for so many amazing causes and charities.

Running makes me happy, and raising money for a great charity will make me even happier.

Marathon is a little town 26 miles from Rome. In 490 BC a soldier called Pheidippides ran from Marathon to Athens. He ran to pass word to Athens that they had won the battle of Marathon, & when he got there he shouted 'victory' and dropped dead.

Now it's my turn to run 26 miles, hopefully without dropping dead, but I'll be running for an equally serious reason:

RAFT stands for the Restoration of Appearance and Function Trust. The lives of hundreds of thousands of people are affected by skin disfiguring illnesses and damage such as burns, wounds, limb amputations and skin cancer. RAFT is an independent registered charity carrying out pioneering research into practical and affordable ways to save and repair skin.

They are small charity who need as much help as they can get. They do so much for victims of car accidents, fires, and the incredible men & women who have suffered for us in the armed forces. So lets support RAFT now before we need to call on them to repair our skin. If everyone i know on facebook gave me as little as £3.00, i would hit my fund raising target of £1250.

What is £3.00? - a drink after work? - a coffee at lunch time?

Please try to donate whatever you can, it's for a worthwhile cause, and you'll be helping me to help them.

Thanks loads,
Caroline xx
