About the charity

CAROM is dedicated to helping disadvantaged children in Romania: in particular, we support the Atelier Sacelean - a women’s self-help project that provides remedial education, play activities, and practical assistance with clothing etc to disadvantaged children and their families in the area of Sacele, in Transilvania. At the moment they have around 50 children on their books, but could do more if they had enough support. We are totally run by volunteers, and take no salary or expenses ourselves. Our aim for 2008 is to ensure the costs of the Atelier Sacelean – about £700 per month – are met.
