Every family who stays in Mac House stays completely free of charge. The rooms are allocated to Parents with the sickest children and there is always a waiting list of 20 or more families. There are 70 rooms available at the house and they are currently building 15 more long stay apartments for families who need to stay more than 6 months.
I ask this question.
Could you afford to have a sick child. Split your family up, probably have to give up work, still pay for your normal house and pay £25 a night to stay next to your sick child?
Probably not I hear you say.
We are grateful for a minimum donation of £1 to help cover the running cost for this amazing house and let the parents who stay feel safe knowing they have somewhere to go when they need it.
We can never thank Mac House enough but with your help Lagan's memory can stay stong and other families can rest in the knowledge that others before and after care for them too.
