TO ROME & BACK ON A BRIGHT RED VESPA!!

Mike has decided to ride a Bright Red Vespa from Edinburgh to Rome and back in August 2009  to raise funds for three different charities (see our other Just Giving pages as well).

We are friends and collegaues who toured with Captain Corelli's Mandolin stage show for 10 years. 2008 was a difficult year for us both as we were both diagnosed with Cancer (Mike- bowel, and Ali- cervix). 2009 is going to be a good year as we aim to raise £100,000 in total for MacMillan Cancer Support, KIS Endowment Fund (Bowel Cancer Research) and Addenbrookes Charitable Trust (the hospital where we are both being treated).

The centrepice of our efforts is Mike's great adventure on his Vespa. Ali will be Project Managing.

When you give your donation be sure to include your email address so that we can keep in touch with you and Mike can share his adventure with you via a blog and email newsletters.

If you can donate as much as £50, Mike will send you a postcard from somwhere on route. He'll send you two postcards for £100, and so on. (We definitely need your email address if you want to take part in the postcard scheme!)

NB: in case you were wondering, the Lothian Health Board Endowment Fund are collcting on behalf of the KIS Endowment Fund that we are supporting. They will make sure all funds collected via this page go directly into the KIS Fund.
