My story

Having excaped to the Pavilions Underground for a crime they didn't commit, they survive as "Communicators of Fortune", if you can find them, maybe you can sponsor the CCS A Team...

This is the second Bristol 10k, after last year’s event proved to be such a big success. This year’s race is taking place on Sunday 10th May 2009 and covers a distance of 6.2 miles around Bristol’s historic Harbourside.

The race starts from @ Bristol, follows the Harbourside then along the Avon Gorge and Cumberland Road, before returning to @ Bristol viaPrinceStreetBridge.

Change a Life is a Computershare initiative designed to provide a sustainable future for people living in poverty. Change a Life has partnered with the Cambodian Children’s Charity (CamKids) in support of the Sunrise Children’s Village.

and its people share a sad and tortured past. Thirty years of war, foreign occupation, genocide and civil war have left many children orphaned and in danger of being trafficked as prostitutes, being forced into illegal child labour and lives on the streets involving crime and drugs resulting in early death. The key goal of CamKids and the Sunrise Children’s Village is to offer a full and complete life for each child, not just providing food and shelter but also vital skills which will equip them for life and help them escape the cycle of poverty.

Supporting our cause is easy and you are able to donate directly through this site. This is totally secure and if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you! Any money you donate will be received directly by ‘Camkids’: The Cambodian Children’s Charity and passed directly to the Sunrise Children’s Village which Computershare, through Change a Life, is building in Cambodia.
