Emergency relief is now underway in Qinghai but longer term reconstruction of communities takes rebuilding effort and this is where CCTF is concentrating its work, with your support, rebuilding schools and kindergartens and providing trauma counselling for children and families. In 2008 we raised funds in the wake of the quake that hit Sichuan.

China Children and Teenagers Fund (CCTF ) and its employees in China are also helping the relief effort with immediate medical and shelter needs.   CCTF in the UK is appealing for funds for the reconstruction challenge facing  devastated areas in Qinghai Yushu county.

Please give generously to support our efforts in Qinghai one of the poorest areas in China.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support relief effort: China Children and Teenagers’ Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

China Children and Teenagers’ Fund is a registered UK charity and the first operational charity established outside of China, by China’s oldest charity China Children & Teenagers’ Fund (CCTF). CCTF supports disadvantaged children in China in the neediest places and helps fight poverty and disease, improve health care and give economic and cultural opportunity to children and young people through extraordinary education and social enterprise projects. CCTF is a first port of call for international agencies seeking to support charitable projects or disaster relief in China.

CCTF China was established in 1981 as an independent non-profit voluntary association entirely funded from private and corporate donations. CCTF operates under the governance of the All-China Women's Federation and the supervision of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC. CCTF is a strong organisation capable of delivering projects on the ground in China. With a revenue of over £12 in 2009 (mainly from fund-raising in China) expenditure on projects of over £9 million and with running costs at below 4% of total funds raised CCTF is an efficient and well managed charity well worthy of your support.

CCTF follows stringent standards of governance in managing its revenue and expenditure and its accounts in China are audited by Ernst & Young while CCTF in the UK has appointed LaiPeters & Co. the UK firm as its auditors. LaiPeters & Co. are charity specialists who know China well.
