We're planning to cycle about 50 miles per day from Bristol to Paris to celebrate Celia's end of A levels from 18 to 25 June 2011. We're crossing from Poole to Cherbourg and then picking a route to avoid as many hills as possible! We thought we couldn't go through all that pain without raising money for a worthwhile cause. Quartet Community Foundation supports small local groups and voluntary projects in the South West. We have asked that all the funds raised will be passed to two very deserving projects we've come across.
Springboard opportunities group (www.springboardweb.org.uk) which helps young children with additional learning needs and their parents by providing support and daycare facilities in North Somerset.
Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust www.lockleazeneighbourhoodtrust.co.uk) which supports the needs of a diverse community in North Bristol through voluntary activities and events.
