My story

Hello, thank you very much for looking at this page.

We did it!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH if you sponsored me.  If you would still like to donate, please do, any sponsorship money you wish to give through this site will still go straight to the Anthony Nolan Trust.

A brief explanation....This may seem fairly unbelievable, but when someone at HYMS (the Hull York Medical School) suggested that a load of us run the Leeds Half Marathon in aid of the Anthony Nolan Trust, I decided it would be a good idea....

I can't say it was easy,  but it was definitely worth it, and somehow, amid sweat, blisters and aching muscles, we got there! thank goodness for MP3 players full of 90s disco, if they didn't keep me running sometimes I don't know what would!

HYMS has a strong connection with the Trust, and so I'm very aware of the amazing work that they do, quite literally saving lives by funding bone marrow donation for thousands of adults and children every year.   This means that they are literally helping to beat cancer, a devastating disease from which no-one should have to suffer.

The purpose of this site is to very politely ask for sponsorship (aka donations) for the Trust.  Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Anthony Nolan Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.   The money won't even enter my bank account; it goes straight to the charity, so you can be sure exactly where your money is going.

Any amount, whether it is in pounds or pence, will be very very much appreciated!

Thank you very very much,

Loads of love,
Celia xxxx

PS Massive thanks to everyone, all those giraffes included, who have sponsored me so far! you are fantastic:) x

If you are one of Webster's friends, I am sending you an extra special thank you.  I appreciate your support very much indeed!  (I'm the tall one at the far right at the back row of the photo, with the speech bubble!)

NB - Busy surfing, Webster did not run the race himself.  He sent his daughter instead.  However, as an unashamed, fully qualified internet whizz kid, he has scrutinised this site, and can assure you that it is 100% reliable, and your money will go straight to the Anthony Nolan Trust:)

Thank you x
