Rwandan Youth Information Community Organisation (rYico) is a charity that works to support and empower vulnerable young people in . In 2005 it opened Centre Marembo, a youth resource centre based in Kigali which primarily supports young people who have been orphaned, neglected or left in very difficult conditions, particularly as a result of the 1994 genocide.

After 2 years in a fantastic building and location, rYico has now been informed that it cannot renew its lease. This is unexpected news and, with only 3 months notice, rYico will need to find somewhere else to rent.  This isn’t an ideal solution in the long run as hundreds of young people come to Centre Marembo very week. These young people rely on Centre Marembo for food, shelter, advice, training and schooling. To provide a secure future for the young people, rYico is launching the Centre Marembo Appeal so that it can build its own centre.
