Hi! My name is Karina and I am a Breast Cancer survivor. I am delighted to be part of this event and would love to raise heaps of money to help the Lavender Trust to support people like me through what is a very harrowing time.

Breast Cancer affects people from all walks of life, it does not care how rich or poor we are or how stable we are in our relationships. In younger women, such a diagnosis can be financially crippling as not all of us are in the position of having an employer who will be supportive and allow us time to get back to reasonable health before returning to full time work. Not all of us have partners and families who are there to support us emotionally and practically while we deal with childcare worries.

Your donations will help to ensure that young women with Breast Cancer have their specific needs addressed. Helplines to call on when we need to talk to someone who understands. An advocate to see to it that standards are set to ensure that we are given the priority we need to be seen and treated quickly.
