Story

We are Tom, Steph, Nat, Rick, Andrew, Chris and Natalie.  Together we are the Chanakyapuri Cheetahs!  Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

No longer content with running the Delhi Half Marathon, and if we are all honest due to one too many fizzy pops at the bar, we have decided to run the Mumbai Marathon on Sunday 20 January 2013.

It seems only right that we use this as an opportunity to raise money for a hard working charity.   We have chosen The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.   This was at the suggestion of a friend/colleague/fellow runner who has found The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity a real support to her and her family recently.

A full marathon is 26 miles.   Mumbai has an average max temp of 26c in January.   Then there's the training - as individuals we are each clocking up an average training mileage equivalent to at least a full marathon each week, including over the Christmas and New Year holidays!  So come on, get behind us.  Show your support for us, and your gratitude for all the caring people at Royal Marsden, by donating! This will allow them to continue to provide much needed support to families and will help us stay motivated to keep on running!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
