Why your donation matters
Charlie Froud, a 14 year old boy who died in a light aircraft accident. The charity has been set up to keep Charlie’s memory alive in a positive way by supporting causes that would mean a lot to him and certainly need support!
Glen of Imaal Rescue Service Incredible people who regularly give up their time to help others. They rely heavily on donations to maintain equipment & buy essential supplies. They save lives!
Children’s Hospice South West
There is no worse agony for a parent than losing a child. Children's Hospice South West, in Wraxall, North Somerset, is a vibrant, positive community making precious, limited time just good as it can be.
Marlwood School:
Where Charlie was a popular pupil of Marlwood School in Alveston, Bristol. Helping to make a difference!
Case study: donations in action
From the money the foundation has raised so far, the Glen of Imaal Rescue Service has been helped to build their much needed base in County Wicklow!
A place to store precious equipment and vehicles away from the elements. Also a place to bring the Volunteers together to co-ordinate a rescue, as well as to eat & rest before returning to the beautiful but often treacherous mountains.
It has been built in sympathy with the landscape & uses solar panels & rain harvesting amongst other clever design features, to keep the environmental impact of their presence to a minimum.
Over the next few weeks the Foundation are sending a team of volunteer tradespeople out to the base, to assist with internal works, as well as taking a kitchen which has been donated by a local building firm.
Please help us to help them complete this wonderful project & to save more lives & educate more people about the beauty and danger of the mountains
