My personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. It is only 18 months until the start, but ACT needs your donation now.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I am entered in the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race 2009 and will row my boat about 2,900 miles to the other side alone and without any assistance. I am also running across the desert in the Marathon Des Sables 2009 beforehand for mental training! I've had some stupid ideas in my life, but at least this is a good one.

These challenges will push my limits both mentally and physically. I love running and have an affinity with the sea, so the Atlantic Rowing Race is the perfect arena to achieve that goal. I also want to give back something to Shaun Mcleod Jones who gave so much to me as a great friend. This challenge will raise money for Addenbrooke's Charitable trust. The Hospital that became Shaun's “home from home” for the last fifteen years of his life. Shaun was destined for Rugby Fame but had to retire from rugby due to kidney failure, which eventually took his life four years ago.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
