Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Since September 2012 Charlie's Cycling Circus, which is made up of a random group of Salisbury City FC supporters, has been raising money for 'The Piam Brown Ward'. This is the Regional Paediatric Oncology and Haematology Unit for Wessex, based at Southampton General Hospital. Children come from all over to be treated for all types of cancer of which Leukaemia is the most common.

Our first adventure was a 65 mile bike ride to Woking which helped us raise over £3000. The next one was a very ambitious 36 mile walk to Basingstoke. 16 people took part in that and including gift aid, we managed to raise nearly a further £3000. It made the unbelievable pain in our feet so much more bearable. Thank you all so much for supporting us!

This year we want to go even bigger and better. On 24th - 26th April we are cycling from Salisbury to Chester for the last football match of the season. This is roughly a 215 mile trip through some very hilly areas. It's going to take us again to the edge of our physical abilities and beyond, since none of us are particularly fit but whenever the going gets tough the thought of young Charlie, the boy who has been the inspiration behind our wish to fund raise for children with cancer, keeps us going.

Charlie has been battling cancer for a number of years now. He has endured chemotherapy, radiotherapy, marrow transplant and everything this sometimes cruel world could throw at him. Through all this he still has a smile on his face, the courage of a lion and the strength and belief to humble the best of us.

The money raised for this latest challenge will benefit the UK charity 'Children with Cancer UK' as well as the Piam Brown Ward again. With this in mind we ask you to support us in our quest to make the life of these children and their families easier. We couldn't do it without you!
