I'll tell you briefly about my Charity Challenge and how you can help support me.

On the 10th October 2008 I begin my challenge in Cuba, alongside my good friend and fellow wine tasting buddy Sian, to cycle from the characteristic capital of Havana to the beautiful city of Trinidad on the Caribbean Sea some 350kms later. Phew!

The Cycle Challenge runs over 10 days, some days will be easier than others, but the whole event will still be a big challenge for me - especially getting Sian cycle fit  

The Cuban Revolution Itinerary

Day One - Depart London to Havana

Day Two - Havana to Playa Jibacoa

Day Three - Playa Jibacoa to Matanzas (60 kms)

Day Four - Matanzas to Cienfuegos (80 kms) 

Day Five - Cienfuegos (60 kms)

Day Six - Cienfuegos to Hanabanilla (65 kms)

Day Seven - Hanabanilla to Trinidad (90 kms)!!

Day Eight - Relaxation!! (my favourite day!)

Day Nine - "Ciao"

Day Ten - Depart Havana to London

Fundraising

Myself and Sian have each made a personal contribution towards the cost of the expedition of £295. Sian has pledged to raise a minimum amount of £2500 in aid of British Heart Foundation (Registered Charity No. 225971).  I have pledged to raise a minimum amount of £2500 in aid of NSPCC (Registered Charity No. 216401).

*Our target amount must reach the charities by end July 2008*

Over the next few months we will be hosting a number of exciting fundraising events, to help us achieve above and beyond our joint target of £5000! We will keep you well informed of any events and hope to see you all there!
