In the UK: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We fund research, provide support and information, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline staffed by prostate cancer specialist nurses. Our nurses offer free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is working towards a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. The Charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

My story

Hello,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On Sunday 11th March 2007, I will be taking part in a 5km run at Ferry Meadows Park in Peterborough. The charity I will be running for - Action4MensHealth - was set up to help and educate about male health issues - including Prostate Cancer. We all know this could happen to anyone of us and having previously experienced this within our family, it is something I feel passionate about.
