About my charity : Georgie's Fund Georgie's Fund
Georgie's Fund was set up primarily to research into new treatments and a cure for Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. Around 80-100 children are diagnosed in the UK each year. Once a child is diagnosed, the survival rate is just 1 in 5.

My personal message:

I have been training hard for the Marathon since Sept 2006, even with my son of 2 years, he comes training with me too, in a buggy! When I got my place through the ballot after 4 years of not being accepted, I was over the moon!


I read about Georgie’s Fund in my Local paper, being a Mum myself I started to cry and thought how easily this could also happen to children I loved too. I instantly thought this is a local charity and would like to support them in all the amazing work they do which is why I have chosen them to fundraise for from running this marathon.
