Hi,
If you know me at all you will know how terribly disorganised and chaotic I am at times (though Mona says that I do have many good qualities too!) and as such I have managed to get things slightly around the wrong way in attempting to collect sponsorship for the half marathon that I completed on November 8th.
Chosen to serve is an charitable organisation set up by one of my patients Alfreda Yankey who works endlessly to raise funds to help with things that we take for granted such as fresh clean water, clothing and very basic education for children. I currently sponsor a 10 year old girl called Suzanna Tiiwa by giving a very small amount monthly to help support her and her family and thought it was about time a done a little more.
My aim was to run a half marathon to raise money to help set up a community health centre for Suzanna's village called Bodomase in Ghana. The health centre aims to give a basic health service to this very poor village and it's children. The aim is to eventually extend the services of the health centre to several neighbouring villages.
This is the last half marathon I will be doing for some time as I don't think my leg will take any more battering, so if you would be generous enough to give as much or as little as you can I would be eternally grateful and get Alfreda to do a prayer for you (I don't do stuff like that).
Thanks
Teri x
