My Kilimanjaro story started a while ago in The Bay Horse in Hurworth where over a fine wine it was suggested we do something for charity with a great sense of achievement for ourselves. Several months later I was on a flight heading to Tanzania. As I sat on the flight I still didn't realise what was in store....
The charity I'm supporting is one my wife Jude is a patron of, The Holistic Cancer Care Centre in Middlesbrough.I have been involved in many fundraising events for this wonderful charity and have seen first hand what a wonderful job they do for cancer sufferers and their families.
I am very proud to have climbed Kilimanjaro for an amazing charity but also to have done it with such fantastic people who I will share this special bond forever.
Climbing Kilimanjaro was the toughest thing I have ever, and most probably will ever do both physically and mentally but reaching the summit was worth every ounce of blood sweat and tears.
