Hi All
As some of you may or may not already know I will be competing in my first London Marathon in April, something which has always been an ambition of mine, (strange I know!).
I will be running on behalf of Hertfordshire Community Foundation, a charity that provides grants to community groups supporting people throughout the County, such as Herts Multiple Sclerosis Centre, Alzheimers Disease Society in Welwyn Hatfield, Phoenix Group for Deaf Children and Special Olympics, to name just a few. I would really appreciate it if you could take some time to sponsor me and support this worthwhile cause. What's more, any donation you make to the Foundation this year will be doubled by the Government through a special programme.
My marathon preparation is going well and I have always maintained realistic goals, which I am happy to share with you all.
1) Do not get overtaken by anyone dressed in a ‘Diving Suit’ or as a ‘Pantomime Horse’ either end! 2) Steer clear of Jimmy Saville around the course; I have a horrible feeling our tracksuits might clash on the day!
3) Complete the 26.2 miles before it gets dark, I have work on the Monday!
With your support I am confident I can exceed these targets, thanks once again.
Chris
