Thank you so much for thinking about supporting me in my first, and only, marathon. I'm running for the Royal British Legion, who provide financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served and are currently serving in the British Armed Forces (and their dependents). I have the most enormous respect for all those who had the courage to live and fight through World War Two, most of whom were much, much younger than I am now. The more I read and hear about their experiences, at home and abroad, the more I am grateful that they were willing to take part in something I'm sure I could not have done myself. Their sacrifices mean my generation has never had to. The Royal British Legion helps with a huge range of issues, including counselling, job retraining, skills assessment, getting the right pensions and benefits, advice and interest free loans for setting up small businesses, welfare grants, Remembrance Travel to war graves, convalescent and nursing care, and home and hospital visits. Their generation (and subsequent ones) gave so very much. I hope you are able to support me with whatever you can so that we can give a small amount back. I'm currently going through a horrible time of 6am starts to run 10 miles, a strict fruit diet, and continually painful knees! Please help me to get though it by cheering me on with a donation!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal British Legion will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks on behalf of all those who you will help for your support.
