Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am taking part in the London Triathlon (www.thelondontriathlon.co.uk ) on Sunday 2nd August 2009. The event consists of a 1500 metre open water swim in the Royal Victoria dock near Canary Wharf followed by a 40k bike ride through London and then a 10k run. I have been training hard since January and for all of those who know me you will realise what a big change in my lifestyle this has been!
I am racing on behalf of the Chronic Granulomatous Disorder Research Trust who support and care for affected people and their families, generate funds for research into improved treatments and a cure, disseminating clinical/ scientific knowledge, raising awareness among the medical professionals, tackling problems common to other genetic conditions and primary immune deficiencies. They are the founder partner of Jeans for Genes. Further information can be found at: http://www.cgd.org.uk/
Thank you very much for your support it means a lot to me and will help continue to motivate me to get off my backside and get in the pool, on my bike and put on my running shoes.
