My story

Myself, Mark, Nick, Rob & Patrick have just FINISHED the infamous LE JOG cycle ride. We started on 13th September 2009 and finished on Tuesday 22nd September. Amazingly we all finished without too many injuries. We ended up cycling 1050 miles, had 3 punctures, 2 wipe outs and met some incredibly kind and generous people on route.

If you have never done this before - then I would certainly recommend it (but only once!!). But make sure that you have a excellent (and patient) support team (thanks Sarah & Jan). Thank you also goes to Les who kindly drove the camper van whilst the girls had a couple of days off and for putting up with us. Thanks to Sarah's Mum, Celia and Pam who kindly cooked up a load of food for all of us. It saved Les cooking!!!!

I am raising money for The British Kidney Patients Association and hope to raise as much money as possible.

There are three very good reasons why I have chosen to raise money for the British Kidney Patient Association. My niece, Annie, who is now aged 2 was born with a kidney problem and having had surgery is nearly 100% better. My cousin Sam who has one of his Dad's kidneys, and thirdly my very close friend Mark (who I have known for a small 33 years!) who relies entirely on dialysis.

So please dig deep!
