On the 30th of July 2005 around eighty teams in sub one-litre cars depart London for an epic journey across ¼ of the globe to Ulaan Bataar, the capital of Mongolia (a total of around 10,000 miles!).

The Rally

The rally ran in 'test' form in 2004 - with just 8 participants. In 2005 with 75 teams provisionally participating, it promises to be a high profile and excellently publicised event. It leaves London, and after a warm-up drive of London to Dover, crosses to continental Europe. The 1st Checkpoint is in Prague where the teams will reconvene and prepare themselves for the adventure to really begin. After Prague we are taking 'The Northern Route' through Poland, Belarus and into Russia hitting it's 2nd checkpoint in Moscow. The 3rd checkpoint is in Samarkland (Uzbekistan), before onto Tsagaanumuur (Mongolia) and finally Ulan Bataar the Mongolian capital. The trip should last around three weeks, however with 80 underpowered and inexperienced teams the madness is endless.
