Why your donation matters
Impact has been working with young people in Dorset since 2006. Impact makes a difference to the lives of young people. Here are some examples
Our detached teams were out on a cold winters evening. They found a 15 year old boy, freezing cold and barley able to talk, he smelt strongly of alcohol. The team called an ambulance, performed basic first aid and assisted the ambulance crew when they arrived. The Paramedics said that had he been left there he almost certainly would have suffered hypothermia. Some young people came to see what was happening. They said that “Impact had saved his life.”
A lad on our Bike project said "I've been asking my dad to fix that for 3 years, he cant be bothered, but you just did it for me straight away"

Case study: donations in action
This is what people say about the difference Impact is making.
Gary Evans, Dorset Police “Impact make themselves available to support young people within the community at times when they are at their most vulnerable."
Mark Meatcher (Rev), Minister of the Christchurch Group of the United Reformed Church. “I think that Impact are seen by many within the community as providing a service that is needed and not being provided by others. Impact is held in high regard by many community and council organisations for the efforts that they are making to try and help and connect with young people."
Karen Graham, Community Safety Officer: Purbeck District Council. "Impact has been extremely well received in Swanage, young people recognise the team and regularly ask the team for help, advice or support. Young people have reported feeling safer since the team have been operating."
