I am in the fortunate situation that I will be running the Berlin Marathon for the second time this Sunday. Again, this will not be a lonely endeavour, as I will be surrounded by friends, family and approximately a million strangers.
It is a privilege to be able to do something like this; to be able to choose your own fights.
In the past few years, I have seen friends and friends' families, who, in one way or the other, have been torn apart by the god-awful killer, cancer.
My run this year is against cancer. Your support would be very, very much appreciated by myself and, more importantly, those whose lives have crossed or will cross paths with the pain and agony that come with the unbearable reality of this diagnosis.
