Sunfield is a charity based near stourbridge that provides education and residential facilities for children between the ages of 6 and 19 from all over the UK who have severe and complex learning needs, this includes specialist provision for children with autism and challenging behaviour.

Hi my name is Christina and I have set up this Just Giving Page to help Sunfield raise some much needed funds as they are not government funded and rely solely on events that are held and donations.

Sundfield is very close to my heart as my son attends there and I feel that if for all the support that they have given my family and my son to acheive the goals that he has so far i want to give something back.

It is never easy for any parent to have to put a child in a placement regardless of condition, and I know that for me there is not a day that goes by when I dont wish I could have my son home with me and the family.

Sunfield are currently appealing for help to raise money for various things which will be documented below. They have recently opened a £3 million pound school and the school was open by one of their patrons Lord Cobham, which took place on 29th September 2009.

Currently Sunfield are trying to raise the money for various things as listed below:

Rebound Therapy/ Sensory Integration Therapy Room: Sunfield are looking to convert their existing resource room, and have established that inclusive of building work that would be required will cost around £30.000 to complete.

People Carrier: My son goes out regularly in Sunfield vehicles and it is a major part for him and I am sure others in Sunfield. They are desperately trying to raise funds for this as it is a Major item that Sunfield require. This they have established will cost in the region of £20.000 to purchase.

Please spare a thought for Sunfield and children like my son. His progress there has been remarkable, and the items that are stated above would be able to continue to educate him and encourage independant living as he grows up.

Christmas is also coming up so please please Donate anything that you can. I am asking for a minimum payment of  £2.00 from each person who donates, which we all have somewhere.

I appreciate your time and watch this space as my husband is putting in for the Great North Run next year with all proceeds going to Sunfield directly.

Remember also please that people like my son do not ask to be born with the Disabilities that they have so please lets help make their life a little bit more comfortable, as who knows what myself and family go through with my son might and could affect your family in some way if it already does not.
