To raise money for Coeliac UK - the plan was to sky dive 10,000 feet... sadly my doctor said not yet...

So the next challenge: Brussels Half Marathon, 21 kms - Sunday 2 Oct (TOMORROW)

After second-degree burns and a MONTH of non-training - who will sponsor me to still take part?

About Coeliac UK:

Coeliac Disease is where the gut reacts and gets damaged when eating gluten (in cereals wheat, rye and barley). The sole life-long treatment is a strict gluten-free diet. 1 in 100 in the UK are believed to have Coeliac's Disease, the majority go undiagnosed... imagine if you were told you now have to follow a gluten-free diet for life?

How can your money help?

£10 = 10 gluten-free Food and Drink Directories, detailing the GF products of manufacturers around the UK. I view these as patients life line, each shopping trip requires planning and consulting their book; easy, accessible & Coeliac UK provide updates to ensure all their food is GF and safe for consumption.

£15 = 10 information packs for people newly diagnosed; running costs of Coeliac UK helpline offering one to one support; raising awareness of coeliac disease amongst the general public, medical profession and food industries.

£200 = support campaigning for better diagnosis and management of coeliac disease, improved food labelling, and availability of GF foods

£250+ = support medical research into all aspects of coeliac disease

1 in 100 in the UK are believed to have Coeliac's Disease, the majority go undiagnosed... imagine if you were told you now have to follow a gluten-free diet for life?

Coeliac UK needs your donations!
