Cycling for Life: Help me provide essential Nutritional Packs to save lives in Africa
As you all know I am passionate about nutrition, raising awareness, educating people and empowering them to improve their health and lives through good nutrition – Nutrition really does matter and for many chronic malnutrition is killing them. You are also probably aware that I love to exercise so in May 2010 Chris (hubby) and I are am combining the two and embarking on a 3-4 day cycle from London to Bruges to raise funds and awareness for an amazing Nutrition focused charity Health Empowerment through Nutrition (HETN). HETN is undertaking some incredible projects in South Africa transforming people’s lives by providing nutrient rich food packs which enables their bodies to help fight against diseases such as TB and AIDS. They are having more effect on improving peoples lives than all those high profile sugary, refined surplus food drops previously offered – these may fill bellies but the people are devoid of essential nutrients to live.
So what I need is your support – Whether it’s through sponsorship, promotion, publicity... it all is crucial to start making a difference and highlighting the importance of nutrition for health – NOT a pill for an ill!
