I am climbing Mt Kilimanjaro ( 5896 m ) August 28th -Sept 7th. Our group is trying to raise money for the Epping and Harlow Breast Cancer Unit. Its costs approx £25,000 per patient for 1 years treatment and not all drugs are available on the NHS. Funds raised help to bring new drugs and treatments to patients. Every penny of funds raised goes to the charity and without this funding, research would not be able to continue.
I'm 61 years young and just thought it's about time I did a challenge and what better cause to do it for than breast cancer. We all know someone who has been affected by this and what challenges they have had to surmount. So now I'm doing my little bit to help.
