Each year 100 children spend Christmas in emergency refuge accomodation in Wales. They are fleeing from violence and abuse at the hands of a family member. Often they arrive with nothing, just the clothes they left the house in.
Whilst every effort is made to help make refuges welcoming places for children to spend time, they are still far from homely. Whilst their friends will be sitting down to open presents and and enjoy a big dinner, children in refuge will be sharing their day with strangers.
Please help us to bring some comfort and Christmas cheer to children in refuge this year.
