Story
It's time for me to tackle my biggest challenge to date ... running the Dublin Marathon (27th October '08). Ouch.
I have decided to raise money for a Leukaemia charity based in theMidlands(http://www.mwb-leukaemia.org.uk/flashes/intro.html) as I unfortunately lost a close member of the family to Leukaemia this year.
The Maria Watt charity was set up to help Children and young adults battling with the illness and will give me the inspiration to push on through the difficult parts of my training and Marathon.
To show how committed I am, I'm giving up the booze until I have completed the race (shocking, I know) - surely that is a good enough reason to donate alone!!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thanks to you all for your support.
Chris.
