My story

The Esther Benjamins Trust has been rescuing child slaves from Indian circuses since 2004. Trafficked from the poorest rural areas of Nepal, the children enter a life of de facto imprisonment, beatings and abuse. Through dangerous circus rescue missions (like the one profiled in the adjacent YouTube video) the Trust has managed so far to bring back over 300 trafficking survivors to Nepal.

In June 2008 we partnered up with the ChildLine India Foundation to allow us to increase the pace of rescue. Between June 2008 and January 2009 we intend to raid at least three major Indian circuses and bring as many children home as possible. To do this we need to raise £18,340 just to cover our costs in India.

Please give as generously as you can and thank you very much
