Presentation by British artist Beth Derbyshire & drinks @Adam St Club

A unique opportunity to explore a complex and unusual artistic practice, the presentation will focus on two of Derbyshire’s projects - taking us through from the initial conception of the work to the completed end result.  Derbyshire will cover the processes involved; from the forging of strategic partnerships, in areas such as funding and resource, through to the creative journey of lateral connections and the development of ideas. Derbyshire will illustrate this through two different projects, both five years in the making.  Starting with Message, a televised, city wide performance which also resulted in an exhibition, an installation and poster campaign and onto Anthem, a trilogy of musical landscape films which have been shot in Newfoundland, the high Arctic and UK, Derbyshire will show us a preview of some of her material.
