My story
If you live outside of the UK, you can help those affected by the terrible earthquake and tsunami in Japan by making a donation to Civic Force - a charity established to respond to large scale natural disasters in Japan.

About Civic Force: Civic Force (emergency response team) was started after the experiences learned from the Niigata Earthquake of 2004. It was established to provide faster and more effective disaster relief by cooperating closely with NGOs, the business community and government of Japan.

今回の東日本大震災は、５５万を超える避難民、２万人を超える行方不明者、数千人の死者など、歴史上、例を見ない災害となっております。
私たち、公益社団法人シビックフォースは、日本を代表する災害救援NGOのネットワーク組織として、この未曾有の地震・津波災害に対して、発災翌日以降、ヘリコプターを投入して被災地の状況を把握し、最大被災地のひとつで最もニーズが高いと判断した気仙沼市等において、現地対策本部との緊密な連携のもと、専門家チームによる緊急支援をスタートしました。
現場の被災状況を見ますと食料、毛布、医薬品、シェルターはもとより、生活再建に向けた様々な支援が必要な状況にあります。
私たちは、国内外の災害救援のプロフェッショナル集団として、的確な支援を行ってまいりますので、皆さまの温かいご支援をお願いいたします。
