About my charity : Cardiac Risk in the Young Cardiac Risk in the Young
Hundreds of young people die unexpectedly of heart defects every year. CRY works to raise awareness of Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS) and campaigns for proactive screening of young people. It offers help and support to those who have suffered a loss, provides medical information, carries out Mobile Cardiac Screening and ECG Testing Programmes within local communities and contributes to medical research. As you can see I am running for CRY, which is a charity that looks into the reason why so many young people die for no reason. Every week at least 8 apparently 'fit and healthy' young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions in the UK.
CRY needs our help to fundraise for ECG Community Testing Programme, their Mobile Screening Programme, their Sports Cardiology Unit, the CRY Counselling Service and for their continuing programme of education and campaigning for ECG Testing of our nation's youth.
