Health The Gambia is a UK based charity committed to supporting and improving healthcare in The Gambia, West Africa on a sustainable, long-term basis. It supports the vital work of the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital in Banjul through the provision of medical and management expertise, medical equipment, staff training and essential supplies.

Personal message:

January sees Clagnut and Nimrod embarking on an intrepid journey across water, land, sand and minefields.

A 3,600 mile fundraising drive from London, through France and Spain, down to Morocco, across The Sahara, into Senegal and ending the Gambia. All this in a car that is 3 years younger than us and cost less than a pair of Chelsea football tickets!

On arrival at Banjul, our trusty vehicle will be auctioned off to raise money and all proceeds will be donated to local charities. www.plymouth-banjul.co.uk

Along with this we aim to raise money for Health the Gambia - a UK based charity that supplies equipment, training and staff to the country's only major hospital. www.healthgambia.net

Please note all the money raised will go directly to the charity and not to our costs in any way.
