The British Lung Foundation works to Support and change life for people affected by Lung Conditions.

I work with amazing and inspiring volunteers at the British Lung Foundation. Volunteers who often struggle for breath yet still make huge efforts help others in their communities.

I felt that if these people face big challenges every day to help others - it was about time I set myself a big challenge.

I will be running the London Marathon in April 2012 for the British Lung Foundation to help beat lung disease.

I will have the following names on my shirt throughout my training and on the big day. A reminder to me of some of the very special volunteers I've worked with and lost. Dennis Ramshaw, Norman Lakin, Roy Barber, Derek Cowling, David & Hilary Parsons, John Macey, Roy Trimmer, Anne Evans, Susan Morrison, Lynne Ashton, Sue Matthews, Bill Endell, Daphne Callaby, Susan Olney, Marge White, Rosemary Hadert and all volunteers who really made a difference.
