***PLEASE DON'T DONATE ANYMORE MONEY AS I'VE SUSTAINED AN INJURY AND AM UNABLE TO RUN THIS YEAR***

Thank you all so much for your incredible support, I've been overwhelmed by the generosity of all your donations and CCHF is also extremely grateful. I'm really sad to report that despite following a proper training program, getting the right shoes and following all the good advice I could, I sustained an injury to my right knee several weeks ago and will be unable to run the marathon this year. I've been going to a physio who was initially optimistic I could recover in time, but unfortunately my knee's deteriorated further, so theres no way I'll be able to run in April, I'm absolutely gutted. I have spoken to the charity who have been very supportive and we have deferred my place to the 2011 london marathon which (knees permitting and fingers crossed!) I hope will be a success. Thank you so much to all those who have sponsored me so far, your kind donations are with the charity: if you are happy to roll this forwards and put it towards sponsoring me next year that would be absolutely fantastic, but equally if not please don't hesitate to get in touch with me and I will ensure CCHF return your money asap (which they have confirmed they are more than happy to do). I'm very disappointed to let the charity and all of you down, but I hope next year I will be in a stronger position - I'm still really determined the 26.2 miles will not get the better of me and will keep you up to date with any news,

Claire

As many of you may know I volunteer with 'CCHF All About Kids', a fantastic charity who give severely disadvantaged children the chance of a break. Many of the children come from backgrounds of poverty, isolation, neglect and abuse, and some are young carers of a parent or sibling. I have seen firsthand the positive impact CCHF breaks have on the kids, they grow in confidence, have fun, and are allowed to just be kids again... something I believe every child should be entitled to. For more info on CCHF please see...

I am not an athlete. Infact I'd never run further than a mile in august so the marathon is a huge challenge for me, but CCHF is such a great cause I have been inspired to run/walk/crawl the full 26.2 miles in London next April, so please support me in my bid to raise money for this fantastic charity! Oh, and I thought running the marathon was enough of a challenge, but my housemates disagreed... and I'll now be runnning dressed as a cow!

I'm hugely grateful for any donations received - every penny really does count. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor CCHF: they get your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support!!!
