The Who Cares? Trust is a voice and champion of children in care. As well as helping thousands of children in care directly through our publications and projects, we also help bring about change by guiding and influencing those responsible for children in care. We give young people in care a voice through their involvement in our magazines and publications, and by helping them relay their concerns and views to decision-makers in local and central government. With the right help and people in their lives who believe in them, every child in care can thrive. The Who Cares? Trust is dedicated to making this vision a reality.

My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am joining 51 other cyclists and 8 support staff to cycle over 220 miles through the Loire to raise money for children in care. Half of children in care leave school with no GCSEs at all. Only 14% obtain 5 good GCSEs-compared with 65% of all children, and only 6% go on into higher education, compared with half of all young people. And over a third of children who have left care are not in education, employment or training by thier 19th birthday and one in five are homeless.

We are funding the trip ourselves so all sponsorship will go directly to raising literacy standards through the work of Who Cares? Trust. www.thewhocarestrust.org.uk
