My Diet for Action Against Hunger
Sponsor me to lose weight and someone else in the world will gain weight!
Hello!
UPDATE: I have now lost 15.8kilos - or 2.4 stone in old money!
I have spent the last few years trying to find the motivation to lose some weight. Until now I have failed! Those of you that know me will know that I LOVE my food and find dieting pretty awful!
When watching Comic Relief this year I decided that if losing weight would directly help somebody else to avoid starvation that this would motivate me to carry on. By improving my health I could also benefit someone else!
So on April 1st 2009 I started my diet!
So I have chosen Action Against Hunger as my chosen charity. They provide emergency food aid across the world, but also provide sustainable solutions by providing seeds, tools, irrigation and ongoing support to famine areas.
I will also have a Facebook page which shows my progress. This is how I plan to raise money:
I will weigh in once a week and update my current weight on-line. I am going to measure by weight in kilos and am asking people to sponsor me per kilo lost. (For those using old weights a kilo is 2.2lbs or a bag of sugar!)
I will contact all those who register an interest or sponsor me each time I lose another 5 kilos, and ask then to stump up their cash!
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Action Against Hunger UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
