Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.  It's still open, so please keep donating!!

It finally arrived and YES, I DID IT !!

I cycled 329 km over 3 days between London and Paris !!

Although gruelling at times (indeed I didn't realise just how many hills there would be between London and Paris!) I'm pleased to say I was one of 61 'make-shift' cyclists that completed the charity challenge on 5th September 2010.

Finishing beneath Paris' most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower, the event brought together two great interests of mine:

1) the gruelling Tour de France cycle race which my Dad introduced me to over 20 years ago and which I have followed ever since, and

2) fundraising for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, a charity which supports people such as my Dad, and continues to work tirelessly towards finding a cause and cure for this devastating disease.

For information about the work of the Motor Neurone Disease Association visit www.mndassociation.org

I acknowledge and appreciate all the support, financial and otherwise, which many of you have shown on previous occasions, namely my running endeavours at the 'Brussels 20km' in 2004 and my '50km Challenge' in 2007, both of which raised valuable funds for the same cause.

However, I very much hope that with your help, 6 years of fundraising efforts can culminate in one last big push which I hope would make my Dad proud.

Please dig deep...

Clare

Important

Due to the nature of this overseas event, I would like to point out that approximately £500 of my fundraising target will be used by the Motor Neurone Disease Association to cover my participation costs, e.g. transfers, accommodation, medical and technical support etc...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
