Railway Children fight for vulnerable children who live alone on the streets, where they suffer abuse and exploitation. We provide protection and opportunity for children with nowhere else to go and nobody to turn to.

On January 10th 2012 I will be spending the day travelling on a Class 139 train between Stourbridge Junction and Stourbridge Train.

The journey in each direction is just 0.62 miles and takes just 3 minutes to do with an average speed of 15mph.

The train makes 6 journeys in each direction each hour and a total of 108 round trips totalling to 167 miles. The first journey leaves Stourbridge Junction at 0547 and the last journey terminates at Stourbridge Junction at 0002 the next day.

I will be spending the day on the train and only leaving to use the toilet but I must complete each journey.

The event is being supported by the train operator London Midland www.londonmidland.com

The event is being organised by myself to raise funds for The Railway Children Charity.
