We are competing in this years Plymouth-Dakar Challenge, driving an 18yr old VW Golf , (christened George!), all the way down through France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania and Mali, ending in the capital Bamako. When and if we and 'George' arrive in Bamako he is donated to Rotary International to be auctioned off with the proceeds used for local project such as education and water initiatives, we are however also using this oportunity to raise money for other charities.
We have chosen to raise money for Cancer Research as sadly both of us have lost family members to this awful disease. Any money we raise will go directly to funding research into treatments and possible cures, so please give generously.
