Why your donation matters

Every day 10 more families hear the devastating news that their child has cancer. And in the coming year, we'll be needed as much as ever.

So we really appreciate your decision to support CLIC Sargent's vital work. You'll help us be there from diagnosis and right through treatment, making a very real difference to children, young people and their families who are living with the challenge of cancer.

How we can help:

Nurses who provide specialist care and support at hospitals and at home Social workers who support the whole family Play specialists who help children through treatment Youth specialists who can give age appropriate support Homes from Home to offer families somewhere to stay close to hospitals Financial support and a free information service available to all

Case study: donations in action

Your donation could help a child like Ross.

Three-year-old Ross was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma when he was 18 months old. His mother, Lesley says:

"For the first two weeks after Ross's diagnosis we had to come to hospital every day. On top of petrol, parking cost us £10 a day, so the CLIC Sargent care grant we received was a huge help straight away."

"There are just so many costs when you have a child with cancer. I gave up work and Andy changed his shifts, so our income was severely reduced. As if having a child with cancer isn't horrific enough without money worries on top."

In fact, nine out of 10 families tell us they need financial support to help a child with cancer. That's why giving grants is such a vital part of our work.

Please make a donation to help more children like Ross and their families.
