Hi Everyone,
Our team would like to thank you for looking at our page!! We are asking for peoples support and donations to a charity that is very close to our hearts - Help for Heroes. We are planning to undertake a climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in March 2010.
The Climb4heroes team is made up of 4 men, all from the Lincolnshire area who are setting themselves this highly physical and mental challenge in order to raise money for our Heroes. The backgrounds of the team vary greatly, some ex-infantry and ex-royal marines, but all having the same purpose and objectives in mind - To raise as much money as possible in order to make a positive difference to our injured serving and ex-serving members of the British Forces.
The team realises that based on their operational experiences, they are in a privileged position to have come back safely, some however are not so lucky, including some of our friends. Some of our friends and colleagues have suffered horrific injuries and that ultimately affected their futures. This has been highlighted recently in Ross Kemps documentaries and BBC 1's Wounded.
Help for Heroes is a charity that aims to help and support our wounded troops and privileged their families. They believe, as we do "that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero".
We know times are hard financially for people, but the suffering our wounded have had to endure is a pain we hope no-one who reads this has had to face.
The climb will be hard, a massive challenge but worth it to raise money to Help our Heroes!
