Hey all! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This summer I will be undertaking one of the biggest challenges of my life by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world. Every year 15,000 climbers attempt to reach the summit of Africa's 'Mountain of Greatness', standing at 19,340 feet, but almost half fail.
I will be making this unforgiving climb in aid of Childreach, an innovative children's charity that works with communities in some of the world's poorest regions, helping them to give their children a brighter future.
After climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, I will then go on to work with some of the children your money will be helping. So... this is not a typical charity appeal where you make a donation in the hope that some poor individual you are never likely to meet will benefit. This is different. I will be seeing first hand how your money changes lives. Please feel free to give me your email and I will happily send you the pics! Please help this very worthwhile cause. Every penny you donate will make a huge difference! And just to prove this very important fact...
£2 pays for a mother and child to receive life-changing vaccinations.
£5 pays for an orphan to attend a vocational training centre, allowing them to work towards a recognised qualification.
£400 pays for a water pump to be installed in a village, so children can get safe, clean water.
One final point, GIFT AID...Please give it! This adds an extra 28p for every £1 donated...in other words a donation of £39 will be worth nearly £50. This extra £11 will pay for 2 orphans to undergo schooling! Its worth ticking that box!
